Unfortunately, in this day and age, a book like this is a must-read for every church body—large or small.

The chapters cover background screening of employees and volunteers including the whys and hows to do it properly; violence against the church; safety and security issues for churches with their own day care, pre-school and Christian school; how to respond to medical emergencies; how to establish a church security officer program; the use of security and surveillance cameras; and how to conduct a proper investigation.

Each topic is covered in a straight-forward manner with practical and easy to understand instructions. This book would make a practical gift to a pastor or the head of the board. Knowledge and preparation are the best protection a church can have against any of the horrors discussed in the book.
