Title: Eden’s Family Author: Kevin Curry Publisher: Publish America Reviewer: Elizabeth A. Kruger – AAA Lead Book Reviewer, Educator This is the heart wrenching story of a small boy in search of a loving family. The loss of his mother – the only parent he’d ever known - causes Eden to be placed in a series of foster care homes. You will experience the pain of neglect, abuse and more as Eden yearns for a home where he is loved. The author takes us on an emotional journey through one child’s foster care experience. Read what happens when the absent parent suddenly appears. Discover for yourself the unlikely place Eden finally finds what he’s been searching for. While author Kevin Curry leaves some unanswered questions for the reader, I can’t help but wonder if it was intentional. He skillfully draws the reader in emotionally right from the onset. Currently serving in the United States Army, Curry shows good potential to become one of the next sought after writers for those emotional life dramas made popular by Nicholas Sparks and Danielle Steele should he choose to hone his talents. Until then, he’s given us a nice novella to whet our appetites and a strong reminder to give our kids an extra hug today and let them know how loved they are. Due to the subject matter, this book is not for young readers.
