Fantasy Fiction Writing at its best!

Author Steven Calkum has a mind that knows no borders or limits - his words take the reader off into an imaged world in his wonderfully written novel "Freeborn."  I think this book will appeal to those who enjoy books like "Lord of the Rings."  This book is an intelligent journey that explores more than just the plot lines; at times, it seems to be almost reflective of our own personal spiritual inner struggles.

This story is totally different than anything else you may have read in this genre. The author breaks some new ground and offers up an entertaining story that explores a kind of "a coming of age story" that is pure fantasy.
