Title:  The Midnight Chase

Author:  Carlo Bondoc

Publisher:  Vantage Press

Reviewer: Marilyn Meredith – AAA Member

An admirable first book

An admirable first book, The Midnight Chase, contains several threads. Beginning with a shoot-out in a warehouse, and a despicable criminal.

The main story line focuses on Dave Martinez. The author gives detailed insight into what happens when a young man goes in the military, in this case, the Air Force, including a lot of detail about the training process.

A second story line focuses on an airline stewardess Dave has instant feelings for after a brief acquaintance on a flight. The stewardess, Grace, is being stalked by a sinister former boyfriend.

When Dave and Grace finally get together, the stalker comes after them both. The midnight chase referred to in the title is dramatic and action-filled.

All the story lines come together in a satisfying ending. With tighter editing, this could be a great action adventure.

* Mature audiences due to mild sexual content.
