Title: The Spy Who Came for Christmas Author: David Morrell Publisher: Vanguard Press Reviewer: Marilyn Meredith – AAA Member I had the privilege of meeting Mr. Morrell this past fall at a writer's conference. Because I've been a fan of his books for a long time, I was eager to read his latest, The Spy Who Came for Christmas. Though this book has the requisite components of a thriller, it's a bit of a departure from Morrell's usual spy thrillers. Oh, the bad guys are all there, and the excitement is top notch as the hero is trying to keep a baby from being taken by the villains. Because this book takes place at Christmas, there's a wonderful story about the wise men and King Herod woven richly into tapestry of the main story. A great read for the holiday season--and any other time. As usual, David Morrell doesn't disappoint. Highly recommended.
